Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information audiomage (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit audiomage.com or purchase one of our products, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this document plain-spoken; if anything is unclear, email us at [email protected].
Who we are
audiomage is a one-person operation that publishes digital tools and prompt packs for audio plugin developers and music producers. The site is a static Hugo site hosted as a marketing storefront for those products.
Information we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. The categories below are the only ones that apply.
Analytics data (automatic)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are popular, which products people look at, and which referral sources send traffic. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes:
- Pages you view and the order you view them in
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (Google truncates the IP before storing it)
- Device, browser, operating system, and screen size
- Referring URL (the page that linked you here)
- A randomly-generated client identifier stored in a cookie
We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally or to build advertising profiles. The data is retained by Google for the default GA4 retention period (currently 14 months).
Contact email (only if you reach out)
If you email us at [email protected] or reply to a transactional email, we keep the message and your email address for as long as needed to support you. We do not add your address to a marketing list without your explicit opt-in.
Purchase data (handled by our payment processor)
When you buy a product, the checkout is operated by a third-party payment processor. They collect the information needed to complete your transaction (name, email, billing address, payment method) and share an order confirmation with us so we can deliver your download and support you. We never see or store your full card number.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
- We do not use Google Analytics’ advertising features (Google Signals, demographics, remarketing).
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies
The only cookies the site sets are the Google Analytics cookies described above (_ga, _ga_*). You can:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
- Install Google’s official Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- Send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal — we honor GPC by treating it as an opt-out request under CCPA/CPRA
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), or similar laws to:
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Opt out of analytics
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
- Analytics data: retained by Google for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
- Support emails: retained for as long as the support thread is active and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up follow-up questions.
- Order records: retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law in our jurisdiction (typically 7 years).
International transfers
The site is hosted on infrastructure that may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on the appropriate transfer mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent) used by our service providers.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, post a notice on the site. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
